This looks interesting.
As part of European Quantum Week 2-6th November NUIG Physics Department are hosting a schools introductory talk on Quantum Physics and it's applications.
Like relativity, Quantum physics is one of those things that many students are aware of - and might even have read a little about - when they sign up for L Cert Physics, only to find it doesn't turn up on the syllabus at all. There are, of course, good reasons for that (as anybody with memories of working through this material in college might testify) but its still seems a pity not to cover it at all and this type of talk is a way of at least partially filling that hole.
It will be repeated on the following days and times.
Monday 2/11/2020 at 10am
Tuesday 3/11/2020 at 11am
Wednesday 4/11/2020 at 12 noon
