Daylight Robbery

This article seems to be confused as to what daylight saving time actually means.

The headline says Juncker is proposing the abolition of daylight saving, but then explains that he is in fact talking about making it permanent.

The whole thing is very odd.

What we call winter time, is the closest to natural time - meaning that the Sun is at its zenith at noon. Summer time was introduced in order to maximise productivity during the first world war - though I never really understood how it did that. Now everybody seems to prefer it.
