A few changes and updates to report...
Some of you will no doubt already be aware of the wonderful set of PowerPoints designed around the new specification and put together by Richard Downey: he has already shared some of them on the sharing-science forum and on the file share option here.
We're trying to give them a more permanent and accessible home by uploading them into the relevant sections under the 'resources' tab here. You'll find them at the tops of the relevant pages under PowerPoints (2025 specification).
We all have our own way of doing things and the files are downloadable and editable to suit your own needs. But it's great to have a starting point and Richard deserves all our thanks for putting so much work into this.
For the moment, we're uploading them slowly so that they can be vetted and edited. But as somebody who has had no role in designing these, I can say that they already look in great shape to me. So far, there are files for velocity + acceleration, and for reflection + refraction. Links below.
Also for the moment, I'm not taking down older material because much of it still relevant - but I will try to slowly work through it all and amend as needed to the updated requirements.
Also, I've removed the membership requirement for accessing files. It was only ever there to encourage people to register, which would help build up a list of contactable physics teachers in Ireland. but as time marches on, I think that that is no longer really needed.
The membership option still exists, and I think it might be required to receive email notifications of updates. But that's beyond my expertise to work around, for the moment.
