The Great Gaffe in the Sky*

Very pleased to get this article into the excellent IoP publication Physics World, covering a matter of great importance that I've touched on here before: Could any real material produce the image from the iconic Pink Floyd album cover for Dark Side of the Moon?**

*Really interesting story about the song Great Gig in the Sky here: the singing which is absolutely central to the song was initially classed as 'accompaniment' - and therefore the singer, who composed the whole tune on the spot, got no writer's royalties for several decades.


**TLDR: the answer is no.
