Oide: Introduction to Electronics Workshops

Oide are re-running a popular workshop on an Introduction to Electronics that first ran this spring.

The workshop is aimed at teachers of Junior Cycle Science, Technology and/or Engineering - designed to look at ways of introducing basic circuit building to junior students.

All participants get a starter kit for the activities covered during the workshop.

Activities include:

• an introduction to the use of a multimeter

• measuring voltages

• measuring resistances

• reading the colour coding of resistors

• the building of simple circuits

Four venues remain - Dublin West, Laois, Navan and Mayo

(All other venues were offered in Spring 2024)

This is a hands-on workshop which explores the skills necessary for integrating basic electronics into our classroom practice.

This will be followed up with  Electronics Workshop2 later in the year.
