Science on Stage: Finland 2024


Science on Stage has been a wonderful resource for teachers for many years, constantly introducing new demonstrations, while also reminding us of old demonstrations that are so easy to forget about.


One of the keys to its success is how it is put together by teachers for teachers, always keeping in mind what is practical and affordable in the classroom. And now you can be involved too!


Applications for a chance to represent Ireland at the 13th European Science on Stage SonS2024 festival which will take place from 12-15 August, in Turku Finland.


At the Science on Stage festival, 450 primary and secondary school teachers from all over Europe share their most creative STEM ideas at stands, in workshops, and in highlight sessions. The theme of the SonS2024 festival is Sustainability in STEM Education.

The ideal Science on Stage project

  • promotes students interest in science,

  • refers to everyday life,

  • has a sustainable effect,

  • is feasible in everyday school life and can be financed with reasonable expenses,

  • promotes inquiry-based learning.
